wow - interesting site you have with all those rare toys.

what does it cost to rebuild a Jaguar 3.8 (9:1 compression) engine? I have a wonderful, matching-numbers, 1965 3.8 'S' (S type) whose engine started making a "cupping" noise. After many "demonstrations" to a number of people, one told me it was one or two crankshaft bearings, so the car has been stored. An oil & filter change confirmed it since I found very fine "gold dust" at the bottom of the used oil pan.

The car is similar to the Blue one you are selling. The weird thing is that the engine idles beautifully, and it was running beautifully until the "cupping" noise started.

Yes, oil pressure is quite low at the gauge, if that tells you anything. (needle moves from zero to 25-30 max when cold).

The car is in Orlando Florida. Long way from Vermont.

Jose
zurdoremi at gmail dot com
