250 Engine Block
Here is a totally stripped down 250 engine block known as basimento, or base to which the rest of the engine is attached. Looks kind of skeletal.

I got to hand it to you guys. The knowledge you have. I have to ask if there any other pictures of the v12 engines that you restore, that you do not put on Ferrari Craft? I really want to build a full scale replica of the Colombo v12(it could take a life time but I’ll do it), but there aren’t many pictures of it on the web. When I say pictures, I mean detailed drawings. I am especially interested in the 250 design. The cylinder heads are much different from the earlier cars. Please help. I have scoured the web, and three different libraries where I live, and you guys always have the best pictures.

Dominick,
I remember a guy asking me for photo of a Daytona engine a year or so ago, was that you? Keep an eye out on the blog for more photos of engines.

The correct word is “basamento”, not “basimento”
Congratulations for your blog, it’s simply gold.
