Steve, Interesting picture of the Euc. My great, great uncle started the company. My father remembers going to “Rodeos” in the summer in the late 40′s and early 50′s where all of Euclid’s products were showcased and demonstrated to prospective buyers. The company was sold to GM in the mid 50′s.

Scott, that’s a very interesting story. When I was young I spent my entire summer vacation with my grandfather and uncles riding around in earth moving equipment which included the “original” R-24 Euclid’s. These had a GM two stroke supercharged Diesel, a 6-91 or a V6 91… not sure exactly but they were noisy. The truck in the photo has a General Motors ID plate, and is called a TEREX.
What are the chances you can get some photos of video of these “Rodeo” events you were describing?

Very much impressed. I mean it. The whole blog and things. That little boy in front of the truck somehow caught my eyes. The T-shirt with the matching color made as it could be the painted parts of the truck was placed there but it was a little boy. I wonder how the truck looked from him. If she, then I apologize. As a self taught and then coached by the top American metal men, I was so impressed with the shot of the SUper Leggera seat restoration works. It is not my occupation but I have the experience of restoring the body of the coachbuilt Alfa Romeo (6C2500 Coupe) and recalled the memories of the days I looked up the sky every time I found the hidden electro-seized spots here and there. Been to Verman twice and I know it is so beautiful up there. Thank you very much for the great entertainment for the guy like me. My wife helped me a lot with the English Wheel and so she is enjoying your website as well. The iWeb produced site (right ?) looking good as well.
